Call 911 – to report a life-threatening situation or a crime-in-progress
To report a crime that has already occurred it’s best to go online (available 24/7) http://www.sandiego.gov/police/crimereports/startaccess
You can also call SDPD’s non-emergency line, (619) 531-2000, to report suspicious activity or to report a crime that has already occurred (e.g. graffiti, vandalism, a home or car burglary where suspect no longer around, etc.).
- To report chronic homeless people in need of social services, mental health or addiction support contact the City’s Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) by calling (858) 490-3850 (leave a VM);
- To report illegal occupied encampments (on public or private property), or contact SDPD Western Division’s Quality of Life Unit, call Western Division HQ’s at (619) 682-4800 or email to email@example.com
- To report unoccupied homeless encampments & debris left behind, call SD Environmental Services at (858) 694-7000.
- To report suspicious vice or drug activity in Mission Hills call SDPD Western Division at (619) 692-4800 (M-Thurs) or email SDPD Western Division at firstname.lastname@example.org or go online to SDPD’s web site, under “Forms” heading where you can report these issues & others online.

Call the Graffiti Hotline at (619) 527-7500 to report existing graffiti for clean-up, or go online to: http://www.sandiego.gov/street-div/services/graffiti
If you have an incident of tagging and/or graffiti please take a photograph prior to painting it out and email the photographs to the Western Division Graffiti Unit’s detective for identification at: email@example.com
In you email please include date, time, location and approximate size of the graffiti.
